Spain

Tapas, Fiestas, & Siestas

My first experience with Spain was actually in the Canary Islands, where I spent time as an au pair and got to experience a more “everyday” side of Spanish life. Since then, I’ve slowly been making my way through the mainland, including Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, and the Andalusia region. I love the food culture, especially tapas and pintxos, and also have much appreciation for the social side of Spanish life. There’s something about spending hours at a table with friends in a plaza, and not feeling like anything has to be rushed. This slower pace of life is one I’m always happy to get back to, and something I try to bring home with me, too.
